Who receives medals?

All participants who make it across the finish line receive a custom-designed SaskCentral QCM finisher medal.

Do the Bellamy Kia Relay Teams receive medals? How do they receive them?

Each Bellamy Kia Relay Team member receives a medal. In previous years, medals were awarded at each of the Bellamy Kia Relay Exchange Zones, as each team member completed their leg of the course, with the last team member running Leg #5 receiving their medal at the finish line.

New arrowHowever, to ensure that no team member misses receiving a medal at a Bellamy Kia Relay Exchange Zone, ALL RELAY MEDALS WILL NOW BE PRESENTED TO THE FINAL TEAM MEMBER AS HE/SHE CROSSED THE FINISH LINE. The final team member can then distribute the medals to the rest of his/her team.

Do the McDonald's Mini Marathon participants receive medals? How do they receive them?

Each McDonald's Mini Marathon participant receives a medal after crossing the finish line. In previous years, medals were presented away from the actual finish line, at a tent in the race infield.

New arrowHowever, to speed up the presentation of medals to the McDonald's Mini Marathon participants, ALL McDONALD'S MINI MARATHON MEDALS WILL NOW BE PRESENTED TO PARTICIPANTS AS THEY CROSS THE FINISH LINE.

Do you offer prize money?

The SaskCentral Queen City Marathon does not currently offer prize money or cash awards.

Is there an official awards ceremony on race day?

We are working out the details of an official 2008 awards ceremony to take place in the Finish Area, near the Finish Line. Stay tuned for more information as race day approaches.

Where and when can I see my race results?

On race day, as they become available, updated printouts of race results will be posted at the Information Tent in the Start/Finish infield area. Unofficial race results from our timing company, Race Headquarters, will be posted on www.runqcm.com ASAP following the race. Please be patient immeidately after the race, as we get the results posted on our website. These results will be posted in both gun times and net/chip times. The final, official race results will be posted soon after, once the results have been finalized by Race Headquarters

I spotted an error in my race results. How can I get it corrected?

The name, age and sex information we use for the race results comes directly from your registration data. So, if you registered yourself online, we hope you didn't spell your own name wrong. Still, typos and errors can happen and we can fix them. If you spot an error in your race results - a name spelled incorrectly, an accidental "sex change" into the wrong Male/Female category, an age mix-up or whatever - please contact us ASAP after the race at runqcm@hotmail.com or call 1-866-2-RUN-QCM (1-866-278-6726). Tell us what the problem is and we'll work to get it corrected as quickly as possible.

Oh, and just to clarify...asking "Can you make my finish time an hour faster so I can impress my friends and/or qualify for Boston?" does NOT really count as an official results error. But good try, though.

Boston Marathon logoI'm hoping to qualify for Boston. How do I get my SaskCentral QCM qualifying time to the Boston Marathon organizers to prove that I qualified? Does my Net/Chip time count?

Several weeks following our race, Race Headquarters sends our official Full Marathon race results directly to the registration department of the Boston Marathon, along with our official course certification number. When you submit your registration to Boston, they will reference our official results. And yes, your Net/Chip time is acceptable for Boston qualification. For more information about qualifying for the Boston Marathon, please log on to: www.bostonmarathon.org.  And remember to wear your SaskCentral QCM shirt when you race in Bean Town!

Do you give out official finisher certificates? How do I get mine?

The SaskCentral QCM provides electronic certificates approximately 4 to 6 weeks following the completion of the event. A notice and link will be put up on the QCM website once the certificates are ready to be downloaded, and participants will be notified via mass email.

To get your certificate, log onto the special Finisher’s Certificate link that will be on our website, www.runqcm.com, or log onto www.resultsexpress.com. Click to find your race and event. Then look down the list and find your name. Click on your name and your race certificate will appear. You can then download and print off as many certificates as you wish.

We do not mail out hard copies of the certificates unless a specific request is made to us via email, and then only upon receipt of a self-addressed, 8 1/2 x 11 envelope with sufficient postage to convince Canada Post to carry your certificate from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada to your home address.
