It's back again this year!

$2.00 paid parking is available across the street from the Start/Finish.

See Google Map above.

New arrow We thought it was gone, but it's back! $2.00 paid parking for approximately 600 cars is available right across the street from the Start/Finish area at the Regina Christian School (see Google Map above and click on the indicated areas for parking information). Enter the Regina Christian School grounds from the east-bound lane of 23rd Avenue. All proceeds go to student extracurricular programs at the school. While there will be school parking attendants on duty, all vehicles and contents are left at your own risk.

As an option, if you don’t mind a little walk to and from your car, just 6 blocks south of the Start/Finish area, at the corner of Albert Street and 25th Avenue, is the Golden Mile Mall parking lot. There is no charge for parking in the mall parking lot. The SaskCentral QCM assumes no responsibility for any vehicles parked here or anywhere else.

Because these nearby streets are part of our course, please DO NOT PARK on:

New arrowDue to the reinstatment of the paid parking service at the Regina Christian School, the previously planned shuttle bus service from the Conexus Arts Centre will NOT be offered.

Where is the SaskCentral QCM Start/Finish area?

The SaskCentral Queen City Marathon START is located immediately to the south of the T.C. Douglas Building, 3475 Albert Street (corner of Albert St. and 23rd Ave.)

The SaskCentral Queen City Marathon FINISH is ALSO located immediately south of the T.C. Douglas Building. Amazing how that worked out, eh?

You'll know you're in the right place when you see the big white Start/Finish tower covered in sponsor logos. Plus it says "SaskCentral Queen City Marathon" right across the top, so that's a dead giveaway.

Where are some good places to cheer on the participants?

Friends and family are encouraged to stand adjacent to the edge of the defined course and cheer the participants on! Click HERE to get a course map and narrative.

Due to liability considerations, and out of respect for the registered participants, non-registered runners or walkers are not permitted to run or walk within the boundaries of the official marathon course.

VERY IMPORTANT:  As a general rule, to prevent accidental collisions with participants, friends and family should not enter the finish zone which begins approximately 100 meters before the finish. Due to EMS medical requirements, friends and family are NOT ALLOWED in the area directly behind the finish line. Please wait until after your participant has completely exited the finish line area and entered into the main infield area before you all celebrate with a big, sweaty group hug.

The course is close to my house. Can I host my own Marathon Cheer Party? What are some suggestions?

If you can’t make it to the SaskCentral QCM Start/Finish area, and the course runs near your house, here are some suggestions for hosting a marathon cheer party in your yard:

What are some good phrases to shout out when the participants go past?Spectators photo

Here are some suggested words of encouragement to offer runners as they pass by your house:

One small favour, please:

Unless you are at the T.C. Douglas Building right near the finish line, please resist the urge to cheer “Almost there”, “Not far to go”, etc. To a tired runner or walker, “almost there” or "not far to go" means a hundred meters from the finish line.  Sometimes it means ONE meter from the finish line...or even less. Tired runners and walkers can be funny that way.

How can I find my friend/family member on the course?

To help you see your runner or walker out on the course, it’s essential that you know your participant’s expected finishing time or pace per kilometer. Once you know this, use the Pace Chart and Course Map to find out at what time your participant will be at different spots on the course. That way, you can determine when you need to be at certain spots on the course to catch a glimpse of your friend or family member, and still get back to the Start/Finish area to see them cross the finish line.

The Course Maps and Pace Charts are available for downloading by clicking HERE.
